Congratulations Shea!
Words cannot express how grateful I am for Shea every day. She is such an amazing kid and just a joy to be around. She sets such a great example for our family and we are very proud of her! This year she set a personal goal to have perfect attendance and was one of 17 kids in the entire school to reach that goal. She also made Principal's list all four quarters and is the new school communications representative. Way to go Shea!

Officially in first grade

I can't believe my baby has graduated kindergarten! He had an amazing year and there were a lot of tears between Mrs. Cerjak and I since she's just promoted her third and last Tanner. She is an amazing teacher and I'm so grateful that she was able to give all three of our kids their introduction into grade school.
Mrs. Cerjak giving Shane a big hug after presenting him with his graduation certificate and a picture of him in his cap and gown. The kids were in their swim suits because they had a crazy water day right after.

Talent show and off to the airport
Margo was only here for a few days but we managed to keep her super busy. She arrived and had about an hour before Shane's birthday party and then on her last day here she got to see Shea and Shaun preform in the talent show before zipping off to the airport. What a trooper!
Shea and Margo right after her performance. Shea and a group of friends did a singing and dancing routine to the Pussy Cat Dolls "When I Grow Up".
Margo and the boyz! Shaun is looking spiffy for his piano performance at the talent show. He played Song of Joy. I'm very proud of both kids for trying out and being brave enough to share their talents in front of the entire school.

Flat Shaun
I am forever indebted to Rob and Jennifer for the amazing adventure that they took flat Shaun on! Not only did he get an A+ I ran into his teacher yesterday and she's still talking about it and wants to know if Rob and Jennifer will take her on an adventure? Thanks Rob and Jenn, you're the BEST!

Flat Shaun got to do more stuff than most people get to do in their whole lives. I mailed flat Shaun to my mom's cousin Rob who lives in New Hampshire. Rob is kind of a thrill seeker and used flat Shaun as an excuse to do lots of stuff. Here are some of the things they did...
He went to the Intergalactic Cardboard Sled Race at Mount Sunapee and went skiing. He jumped super high on Rob's skis.
They went skydiving at Jump Town in Orange Massachusetts. Flat Shaun jumped from 9,000 feet and got to do flips, spins, and barrel rolls the whole way down.
He went SCUBA diving in Rockport, MA and got to wear his own air tank and swim with the fish.
He walked along the Freedom Trail in Boston and then drove to Maryland. They stopped by Liberty Park in New Jersey to take pictures with the Statue of Liberty.
They drove to Washington D.C. and went to the Smithsonian of U.S. History, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol Building, and the White House. He didn't get to meet President Obama though.
When they got to Baltimore Maryland they went to the Hard Rock Cafe' to eat and to the National Aquarium in Baltimore. A shark almost ate flat Shaun at the Aquarium. They also visited the USS Constellation which is a really old ship.
On his trip flat Shaun also got to go horseback riding, drove on a motorcycle, and rode in Rob's super fast red corvette. I think they might have gone too fast because flat Shaun got to help a policeman arrest Rob.
He had a good time with Rob and I'm going to visit Rob, Jennifer, and their new baby Jimmy this summer. I hope I can do some of these fun things with him someday too. Rob has already taught me how to SCUBA in the pool

Turning "6" on the 6th!
Shane wanted to have a dog themed birthday party. Hmmm...I wonder why? We were lucky enough to have his birthday fall on an early release day so Greg took the day off of work, Grandma Margo arrived in the morning, and we had a house full of excited kids come over right after school. Greg grilled hot dogs for lunch and I didn't plan too much thinking the kids could just jump in the bouncer. Well...it was 100 plus degrees out and the bouncer was burning hot so the kids stuck a hose in it and made a bouncing lake.
Doesn't this picture just say it all!

Ethan and Josh swealtering in the bouncer before we added water.
Star Wars and Lego's seemed to be the theme for gifts.
Gotcha Landon!

OK, so my friend Kim let me borrow her Hello Cupcake book and I thought these doggie cupcakes looked so adorable and pretty easy. Let's just say after searching the state for all of the ingredients and staying up WAY LATE, I'm not sure if I'll ever make "pup cakes" again. Shane thought they were very cool though.

Go Dragons!
Shane played his first season of soccer and overall had a great time. He didn't love all of the running and isn't the most agressive player but the trophy at the end made it all worth it!
